1. 1-800-Out-Of-Nowhere |
New Age Pirates Yet in school time Sammy, the front man, gave up the dull studying, got disappointed with quiet and placid way of living and took up music, which reflected his expressive character and dreams. And this music has become his treasure. His friends Jack, Eliaz, Spit and Illy decided to help him. Consequently, a qualitative and interesting thing came out. An LP called 21'st Century Pirates was recorded. Five guys, dressed in black clothes (at best in white-and-black striped clothes :) with well-styled hair and black-varnished nails, are staring at you from the cover. Well, they could be even suspected in gothic theme. Sammy stands in beauty with a wide-opened mouth in the middle. Just like Steve Tyler :) Insolence, the energy of fierce rhythms, the best elements of hard-rock of '80s, kind of obvious influence of musicians of those times - this stuff is a spirit of the album. Five Finnish fellows can easily brag of it. “I'm the captain of the lost generation, while God saves I destroy!” - they claim. Youth means broken hearts… Surely, miserable love can also be found here. Tender and depressing keyboards of such ballads as Selflove-Sick and Last Night On Earth prove the point. Indubitable hits are Forever And A Day and Bleed. The cover of Motley Crue's Live Wire is played well. They have inspired it with flammability, strong back-vocals, have added their own sound, nevertheless the song of 1981 remains recognizable. On the whole, the guys have done their utmost. And it's a right decision, as with the help of your first record of full value you should show to everyone, what you are able to do for the world. By the way, Private Line can also boast of friendship with Deadbabes, included into the long thanks-list in the cover of the CD. Sudden Nymph |
