What
Ankkarock is a rather large and almost always international Finnish festival.

Where
It is located in Korso forests (Vantaa region).

When
It is usually held in August on the first weekend and lasts two days - Saturday and Sunday.

The way it goes
There are two stages - Rocklava (Rock stage) and Korsolava (Korso stage). You can buy food, drinks and merchandise on the territory of the festival. Alcohol can be bought in the special zone. You can enter the zone with the passport only, but are not allowed to take drinks outside this area. Bringing your own alcohol drinks on the territory of the festival is forbidden. Juice, mineral water and other drinks can be brought in any quantities if they are not in glass bottles.
Clothes and bags can be left in luggage-rooms at the festival entrance. It will cost you 2ˆ.

How to get there
The easiest way to get there is by train from Helsinki. There are two types of tickets for public transport in Helsinki: 1) only for Helsinki, 2) for Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa. The latter is accepted in H, K, N trains that run past Korso. The trains are frequent (one can find the time-table at the railway station). The trip to Korso takes about 20 minutes. Besides, there is only one railway station in Helsinki (Rautatieasema), you will not get lost.
If you want, you may try to get crammed in Bus 731 that goes to Korso from the bus station.

Accommodation
Of course, there are hotels in Vantaa and Korso but it would be much easier to stay for a night in Helsinki. The Finnish capital has a wide range of hotels and hostels.
