What
The Finnish Festival where you can see famous Finnish metal-bands, as well as pop and hip-hop musicians, and listen to some dance music.

When
The Festival lasts 5 days from Wednesday up to Sunday of the third week of July.

Where
It is located in Tampere. Its major peculiarity is that it lacks the festival territory as such. All the performances take place on Ratina stadium and at various clubs.

The way it goes
The first thing you have to think about is buying the festival map. Festival official papers and numerous maps can be found in Swamp Music and Epe's, as well as near Ratina and in Keskustori. The stadium is situated near the bus and railway stations.

Tickets
Tickets for different gigs are sold separately. They are distributed via Lippupalvelu. A small amount of tix is sold at club and stadium entrances. You can buy tickets in advance in the rock-shops of Tampere: Swamp Music (Tuomiokirkonkatu 32) and Epe's (Kyttalankatu 6).

Accreditation
According to festival rules one mass media edition can have only a journalist and a photographer accredited. On extraordinary occasions the problem is solved individually. The sent application does not guarantee that the accreditation is confirmed.

The application form can be found on the festival site. You are supposed to print it out, fill in the blanks (with the signature of main editor) and send it by fax or mail in the festival office within July 7.

Extra tips
- Age limits (if any) are specified for each club (you will find the information about it on the festival site). No age limit for Ratina stadium and Kirjastotalo Park. Children under 12 should be accompanied by their parents. People under 15 and 18 are not allowed to some gigs in Pakkahuone .
- In Ratina alcohol drinks are not sold to people under 18. You will be asked to show you ID at the beer zone entrance :)

How to get there
Tampere is about 300 km from Helsinki. A lot of buses and trains run between these two cities.
