| Outstanding female vocals, rocking guitars and femenisic lyrics - that is what Lowemotor Corporation is now. But what did it all begin with? This bio was written for us by Claudia herself. Thank you, Claudia :) "My instrument used to be electric guitar and I played in two bands (girlbands) during 1993-1996. I've also been singing in choirs and working with distributing bands and making live-events, so my life has been pretty much involved in music. The music we did with the girls never gave me enough what I wanted so I got frustrated, sold my guitar and Marshalls (+everything else I owned) and bought a one way ticket to south-east Asia. After a couple of years doing things I wanted to do I was ready to return to music. I met Joel (our keyboardist and composer) and heard some of his songs. They were awesome and I knew that I had to perform them. He was looking for a band around him and I insisted to pay for the studio to show him what I can do. We made a demo tape of "soul of a pagan" and it worked. Joel contacted his old friend, Pexi, (they are pals since kids) and he was in. I met Flamin' Tent (Janne Parviainen-known from Waltari and Sinergy)at a bar and since Joel had always been thinking of Janne to his project I let him listen to the demo - he said yes and we took a drink or two...It was strange 'cause Janne had just left Waltari and said that he'll have time for something new. Destiny. (both me and Joel and Pexi had known Janne for several years, he's a terrific guy) At this point I brought the demo to the promotor-guy in Nosturi (a big live music club in Helsinki) and told him to ask around for a basist and another guitarist. Half an hour from that when I was in the elevator going home they called me from the the record company Spinefarm...I was quite shocked and stunned when the guy said that they want us! The promotor guy had met this Spinefarm-guy after meeting me...More destiny! We found a basist and a guitarist but it didint work. We decided that Pexi will remain our one and only guitarist and Janne introduced us to Lars, who's playin base in Sinergy. That night we sipped a bottle of Gin and shook hands. We were ready for the studio...I knew a producer called T.T.Oksala and he was intrested in working with us so we went to a studio called Petrax in Hollola (near Lahti). The first single we released was "Soul of a pagan". We also made our first video of that song and it was a great experience - and even if it was made with a small budget we're pleased with it! We actually wrote the manuscript with Joel and fixed a bunch of friends to party in it. Lots of fun! The second single "Love me" was done in quite a hurry - that was the only song which was totally ready when we were at the studio for the first time so of course Spinefarm wanted to release it (even if we thought we had some better stuff comin..). Ville Valo was in town and also doing something new with T.T at that time and he did the backing vocals to "Love me". Saturnalia album came out in February and now we are working with the next album. We dont know about the producer yet, it wont be T.T this time, he's just too busy to give his soul to us." But... in October 2004 Claudia left Lowemotor Corporation. Let's see what happen to the band then. Lowemotor Corporation discography
